In light of last night’s activities, conversation (or lack thereof) votes, motions and revelations I thought it would be most fitting to reply to M. Pellum’s question at this time.

If you were a BOE member and knew this (Kelly/Borge Certification Issue) was going on, would you wait for the county SI to call you, or would you request meetings of reassurance where all it is discussed?

After last’s night meeting I realized that had I been a BOE member I would not have known about the lack of certification of Kelly and Borge because this information was not provided to the members by the CSA. As communicated in board agendas – the Superintendent confirms and affirms that proper certification exist prior to him presenting it as a recommendation to the board. So in essence, the only way I would have or could have been apprised of the situation was to be notified by the county SI.

Apparently the only way to begin having conversations regarding employees is to have them RICE’d. I'll have more on this in the next post.  I also learned last night that the Board does not have the power to RICE anyone other than the CSA. So unless Dr. Gallon is willing to RICE the two young ladies in question the Board in and of itself will have to depend on the County to vet out the truth as they are utterly powerless in this situation. They must sit with folded hands until the pronouncement is shared with them.

The public requested that the Board RICE Dr. Gallon so that a full discussion and disclosure could be obtained regarding what he knew, when he knew etc… would you believe 6 out of the 9 voted that down.

So in conclusion, it appears that WE the COMMUNITY of Plainfield, NJ need a Lawyer. Please if there are any lawyers out there willing to take this on PRO Bono to help out in this worthy cause PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE send me an email. We need your HELP!
