Received Some Answers: I Got some answers from someone who is VERY close to the situation and from all reports Dr. Bilal and the Security staff handled the situation with minimal interruption to the students who were in class.
The police did have to be called to restore order, which I now under is part of the protocol, and some students were carted away. Perhaps its just a matter of Spring Fever... It's tough being couped in ALL day 5 days a week!
I'm not above giving credit where credit is due...I applaud the manner inwhich it was handled on the inside -- even if from the outside it looked a little scattered.

Are they fighting or are you questioning the uniforms? I can't tell by the pictures. Clearly they are not in classes and the Superintendent is on the radio? He needs to get out of here. This is not Miami. Children are suppose to be learning.

This ties in with why teachers were upset about the blocked website. Right now all Gallon is focusing on is protecting his rep. While half of the Plainfield Police Department were at the High School, he was spending tax money on his paid for radio show. Kudos to Dr. Bilal and his staff for handling the incident today. It is not the HS administrations fault that this happened. Nor did it happen because Gallon was on the radio, but maybe he should be speaking with community leaders about how to help students who are involved in gangs rather than promoting himself.
DSG, During the Principals meeting, do you think for one minute that we bought the lies you tried to sell us during the meeting today. Well we didn't! Just because we didn't say anything, we all know that you are a liar. We also know when your girls received their teaching certificates (in November) but we grandfathered back to July 09. You are such a scam artist and you think we are dumb. Oh, and stop blaming past employees for exposing your little behind. Your days are numbered. The OFAC report will not only reveal what a liar you are but what idiots the Board of Mis-Education is too.
This is happening in all the schools in the country. The texting that kids do all day long is not only distracting them from their school work but alerting them instantaneously to events like this one. There is a simple technology to prevent this, a cell signal blocker. Install one in each wing of the school and make sure it's on from the first bell to the last bell of the day.
Renata, I'm glad you're still posting comments from PPS employees who post anonymously for fear of reprisal by the administration. Now that Maria has stopped posting anonymous comments, you're the only source for what's really going on in the schools.
