INTERESTED PLAINFIELD BLOGGERS, THE PLAINFIELD EDUCATION ASSOCIATION WILL SPONSOR "CANDIDATES NIGHT" ON TUESDAY, MARCH 24th, 2009 FROM 4:30-7:00 pm PHS CAFETERIA.
WE HAVE ALSO JOINED WITH PARENTS EMPOWERING PARENTS (PEP) TO GET THE COMMUNITY OUT FOR THEIR FORUM BEING HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2009 AT THE WASHINGTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL 6:30 - 8:30.
We invite all of you bloggers out there to not just talk about change, but be about the change.
With the economic crisis, we must step up and play a proactive role in electing Board Members who will intellectually make the tough budget decisions that will best service our students. We no longer have the luxury of sitting on the sidelines, times are critical, money is tight. Emminent school budget cuts may have more of your child's school staff jobs on the cutting block.
HOW WILL THESE DECISIONS BE MADE, AND WHO WILL MAKE THEM. THE SUPERINTENDENT RECOMMENDS, AND THE BOARD APPROVES. EVERY DECISION MUST COME BEFORE YOUR BOARD MEMBERS FOR APPROVAL.
Bloggers, we must come out and choose candidates who will seriously and critically think. We lost a lot of good people last year.
LET US ALL PERFORM AT LEAST ONE ACTION THIS YEAR,VOTE IN YOUR SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION. BECAUSE THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SAY ...I'M NOT JUST PART OF THE PROBLEM - I HAD A HAND IN THE SOLUTION... Love my community.
